By Mags | Woo-Woo Wisdom,
The Law Of Attraction is one of the later books written by Jerry and Esther Hicks containing the teachings of Abraham, a group of non-physical entities channelled by Esther. It is, however, a book that focuses on the basics of the teachings, and for that reason I'd suggest reading this one first if you are new to Abraham-Hicks' material.
If you have already read other books written by the Hicks, like The Amazing Power Of Deliberate Intent and Ask And It Is Given, you may find much of the information in The Law Of Attraction repetitive, especially that contained in Part I which focuses on the Hicks' journey to channelling Abraham. Although Part II (The Law Of Attraction), Part III (The Science Of Deliberate Creation), Part IV (The Art Of Allowing), and Part V (Segment Intending) were largely familiar to me, I still found much of value in them. Through a series of questions and answers, these sections did clarify quite a few aspects of the material for me and also gave a very thorough overview of Abraham's teachings.
The Law Of Attraction has often received criticism from those who have only watched The Secret and concluded that it is all about magical thinking and how to attract more material possessions into your life. If you want a good introduction to how the Law Of Attraction is so much more than this, and a more spiritual take on the principles, I would recommend that you start with The Law Of Attraction as well as look into other books published by the Hicks.

If you want to buy only one book of the Hicks tandem, I suggest "ask and it is given" instead.
This one is more an expansion which does not bring any new prospective.
I would suggest the purchase only if you are one of those persons (like me) who like reading the same things said in a different way and don't mind spending a bit more to do it.
I would suggest that the reader also brings his own Christian prospective in this books; if one leaves it aside it is amazing how many people (as easily verifiable on the internet) abuse of these books to delude themselves into being omnipotent beings or into justifying their every childish tendency.
Still: correctly understood and put in their right prospective, the book makes for an interesting reading and an integration to "Ask and it is given"

By Susan E. Finch,
I loved this book. Ester and Jerry Hicks are a married couple who work together to give the world the wisdom of Abraham, spirit guides that Ester channels. Jerry poses the questions and Ester channels Abraham's answers. Abraham reveals that there are three universal laws which are all based on the belief that our thoughts create our reality. One of the laws I related to in particular was that of "intention". This law says our thoughts, combined with our emotions, have the power to affect our environment. This means we can choose to truly assist and uplift each other. Abraham speaks of living fully in the moment in order to create the future we desire and that combing through our past doesn't enhance our present or future. As someone who spent years in therapy re-hashing the past without living a full and satisfying life, I totally agree.
Another book that speaks about living a full and satisfying life by living in the now is How To Create a Magical Relationship by Ariel and Shya Kane. I found this enjoyable and profound book to be a wonderful complement to The Law of Attraction. The Kanes believe each one of us has stories about ourselves, a past that colors our present and future. If we can free ourselves from our past by being present, we can discover that each moment is fresh with infinite, glorious possibility. This includes caring for others and our environment. After reading their book I truly felt that what I do and think does indeed matter. We are creatures who have the power to create a magical life for ourselves. What a wonderful place to start giving to others from!

By Mr. S. Heap,
I loved this book, as it gives a practical understanding of the Law of Attraction' & it isn't as fluffy as 'The Secret'.
For maximum results read this book with 'Ask & It Is Given' which is also by Jerry & Esther Hicks.

I agree, not quite as worthy as `Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desiresby the same married couple of Esther and Jerry Hicks. This is a tad heavy at times and yet I still did like many parts of it. I do wish they had fully proofed this into English grammar from the Americanised twang, but it overcomes this with the spirit of good intention. I do not agree with the concept that what you have is what you deserved to get, as it reflects poorly on what is really meant. We attract what we think, and this book goes into great detail about that.
